Hello

I trained in Aesthetics with a big company at Harley Street- London. The company I trained with( I won't mention their name) were very expensive and I was trained by a reputable plastic surgeon. That's great I hear you say???

Sounds good doesn't it?

Well yes the training itself, although brief was all correct, However we had about 3 Models to practice on.... between 8 of us students!! So in fact my practical of my course consisted of one injection of Botox and 1 injection of Dermal Filler. I was then given my certificates and told 'Congratulations, you have passed'. 

Off you go and make lots of money!!

Great I thought but now I'm even more scared than before I completed my course! 

I knew all (well most) of what I needed to do but I was scared to death! I had no idea where to get my products from, how to get actual clients, how to market myself, what to do if things went wrong etc.

Just because I had been a nurse before doesn't mean I have ever injected anyone's face before I had done the course. I was used to having colleagues around me I could ask questions to and who would help me if I was to need it. Now I was on my own!! It was bloody scary!

So what did I do?

I had to pull on my big girl pants and get on with it and just learn as I was going along.

I took every free business class going, every free social media class, met so many people starting businesses and grew a network of people to support one another. In the early days I nearly gave up most days (even some days now I could easy give up and go get a job I don't have to think about) 

However I carried on and I'm so glad I did!

I have made loads of mistakes along the way, it's not been easy but as they say 'Nothing good ever comes easy'
